One of my
favorite exhibitions at the Pour l’Amour du Fil show was the ‘Unforgettable’
exhibition with examples of antique Welsh quilts collected by Jen Jones.
I was struck
by the geometry and modernism of some of the quilts. Also I had never seen one
of these quilts before and was surprised by how thick the material was and
therefore how far apart from each other the quilt stitches are. A true eye opener!

BeantwoordenVerwijderenIk wordt wel een beetje dizzy van die kleine stukjes...net of er beweging in zit maar dat is waarschijnlijk de bedoeling. Leuk je gisteren (heel kort) weer even te hebben gezien.
Heel mooi, soms doen de Welsh Quilts mij ook aan de Amish Quilts denken......
